CEPP

THE CENTER FOR EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL PROMOTION

MISSION

CEPP is a Non-Profit Organization that strives to contribute to the improvement of quality of education as a factor that lifts the welfare of people and their professional performance, encourages participation in a democratic society, and achieves sustainable development.

VISION

CEPP is one of the most solid and experienced organizations in Ecuador. We work every day in order to fulfill Ecuador's population demands for better education which ultimately leads to social empowerment, environmental conservation and community development.

WHO WE ARE

Institutional Background

CEPP was founded in 1979 in Quito, Ecuador by 13 college graduates who had a common goal: To create better opportunities for the most vulnerable sectors of society.

The organization is legally registered within Ecuador's Ministry of Social and Economic Inclusion. Since its creation, CEPP has implemented and sponsored a large number of social development projects with emphasis on education and professional training.

After almost 40 years, CEPP has evolved into a modern NPO with offices in Ecuador and USA, whose members still share the original goal: To create better opportunities for the majority of people in Ecuador.

Network

In order to carry on the projects and activities of the organization, CEPP has articulated over the years a multidisciplinary pool of experts who collaborate with us and specialized in such fields as life sciences, social studies and education.

CEPP is always looking to expand its network with the purpose of achieving common goals and better results. We work with many institutions including non-governmental organizations, international agencies and government entities.

Finally, CEPP has established good relationships with local companies, due to the high quality standards fulfilled during the completion of many contracts, delivering excellent products as part of our consulting services provided to this sector.

This was a decade of exceptional specialization in teaching and andragogic approaches applied to formal and non-formal educational programs. CEPP developed regular, distance and virtual pedagogies focusing on personal growth, development of reading & writing skills, and critical thinking. Other important endeavors carried on during this time, were the training of educators and the creation of modern educational tools such as interactive courses for the IUCN’s Global Environmental Citizenship Project.

In this decade, CEPP made important contributions to Ecuador's education public policies focused on youth and adult beneficiaries. The organization gained expertise in curriculum design; the production of materials for distance learning focused on K12 education. During this time CEPP collaborated and worked very closely with Ecuador's Ministry of Education.

2011-2020

During this period of time, CEPP became actively involved in the creation of many educational programs focused on promoting sustainable development and nature conservation with projects such as Aula Verde, the conservation school “SEC-INEFAN”, the Afro Ecuadorian Politics Academy and many others.
